Me: “Hi My name’s Danielle Salmon.”
Nameless Person: “Salmon….um, how do you spell that?”
Me: “Like the fish.”

You would not believe how many times I’ve had to explain how to spell my last name: ‘salmon’. What should be an easy word to spell it surprisingly isn’t. While it may not be the hardest word in the dictionary of last names, it’s definitely not as easy as ‘shrimp’ or ‘shark’…Danielle Shark, that does have a nice ring to it. But until I get up the energy to change my name on all my documents and stand in line at the DMV to confirm it, it remains.

This is my blog and this is me. Nothing fishy about that.

Extremely cool blog. I am an advertising freak and this is fun. It is edgy.

There are a few grammatical glitches that should be edited out. Otherwise, keep on rolling. It’s kind of like “The Soup” on the Internet.

My own blog, centers on business, online publicity and content marketing. If you could like Points of Persuasion Syndicate ( on FB, I can shorten a very long URL. Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks so much Myrna! I’m happy you like it and love that you think it’s like “The Soup” because I adore that show! Grammar is a hit and miss for me every now and then so my blog helps me notice it. Hopefully you’ll see less and less of it as time passes. Will definitely check out your blog and like the FB page, I’m going to start up my on FB page for my blog so look out for it.

      Thanks again Myrna!

Hey Danielle, well mine is Corri (was that male or female), did you say Corrie, Cory or Corey. Then Byrne, as in burn, well that’s a whole different level, By-urn? Brie-urn? By-ron! (oh well!)

Thanks for a highly entertaining blog!

A little googling and I stumbled across your greatness…cool blog! I’ve been lost in it for an hour so far. You don’t know me but take my word for it, I have creative’s ADD. I don’t get lost in anything for an hour, so you have my stamp of approval.

Hi Danielle! Just found you through the Tribal Blogs contest. We’re competitors, but I won’t hold it against you! 🙂 Now, I’m going to poke around a bit. It’s nice to meet you!

Nicky (yes I know it’s N-I-C-K-Y like a boy and I’m a girl. My parents did a lot of drugs.)

Hey Nicky! NIce to meet you! Glad to see there are some pretty cool competitors in this competition. Can’t wait to see how it all turns out. I’m heading over to your blog soon to check it out!

And I love the way you spell your name, my nickname is Danny so I understand your boy spelling completely!!

Well, Salmon. I think you’re well on your way to winning the makeover contest. Your blog’s great. And it’s been fun competing with you and Nicky. By the way, did you go out on the street and solicit perfect strangers to vote for you or something?

    • September 22, 2011 at 3:10 PM

The fat lady hasn’t sung just yet, there’s still time so anything can happen.

Now that I think of it I should have gone on the streets passing out flyers. *snaps fingers* dangit why didn’t I think of that!

Oh, by the way, when you said “some pretty cool competitors” you meant me, right?
